A SHORT HISTORY

  • 18.08.1937

    The first course with 24 participants. The Drilling Technical College is founded with the goal of providing first class one year full-time drilling courses.
  • 1942

    Introduction of the half-year Senior Driller course and of the special 3-month courses for shift leaders.
  • 1973

    The two stage driller training is restructured to become a continuous course on the basis of the two-year courses at existing Technical Colleges.
  • 1990

    Course for supervisors in the gas storage field.
  • 1993

    The range of seminars and special courses is widened. The College is opened up to employees of non-member companies.
  • 1996

    The College receives approval to run one-year courses for production and pipeline technology. The College establishes itself as one of the few colleges world-wide offering both one-year and two-year technology courses.
  • 30.08.2009

    College open day celebrating the jubilee of “150 years crude oil and gas exploration in Germany” with the motto “The future needs a perspective.
  • 2011

    Zertifizierung als Weiterbildungseinrichtung gemäß DIN EN ISO 9001:2008.
  • 2012

    Akkreditierung als „IWCF-Primary Center“ vom International Well Control Forum, Montrose UK. Anerkennung als DVGW Kursstätte gemäß Arbeitsblatt GW 329 durch die Deutsche Vereinigung des Gas- und Wasserfachs. Jubiläum 75 Jahre Bohrmeisterschule Celle.
